Job Overview:

• To Ensure that business activities are conducted in conformity with all applicable laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures.  Ensure that all regulatory permissions remain current and appropriate for business needs.

Job Summary:

• To provide high level legal support to the organization ensuring a full legal compliance on all matters relating to the organization's operation and governance through legal review and operational decision making.

Responsibilities:

• Advise the Board CEO and senior management on all legal and compliance matters affecting the organization's operations.
• prepare review and advise on all SLAs, MOUs and all forms of contractual agreements between the bank and other parties.
• Prepare legal opinions and advise on general legal issues.
• provide advice on contentious and non contentious issues.
• Monitor compliance with applicable laws and regulations across the organization's operations
• Negotiate, drafting, reviewing and execution of contracts and agreements on behalf of the organization.
• consistently liaising with the external counsel of file regulatory returns with regulators such as CBN and NDIC
• Initiate replay legal correspondence
• Any other functions required by the management will be advised from time to time.

Academic Qualifications/Skills Requirements.

• LLB Law
• 3 to 5 years experience of commercial compliance.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
