    The Grant, Partnerships, and International Linkages Expert

    Job Summary:

    The Grant, Partnerships, and International Linkages Expert will be responsible for developing and managing grant programs, fostering partnerships with external stakeholders, and establishing international linkages to support the organization's goals and objectives. The role requires strong project management skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to cultivate relationships with donors, partners, and other stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other languages, particularly French is desirable a plus
    • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

    • Develop and implement strategies to identify and secure grant funding opportunities that align with the organization's mission and objectives.
    • Lead the preparation and submission of grant proposals, including conducting research, writing proposals, and liaising with donors and funding agencies.
    • Manage the grant lifecycle, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance with donor requirements and regulations.
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, foundations, government agencies, and other funding partners to diversify funding sources and maximize financial support for the organization's programs and initiatives.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to align grant-funded projects with organizational priorities, ensuring that activities are implemented effectively and achieve desired outcomes.
    • Provide guidance and support to staff involved in grant-funded projects, including monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
    • Stay abreast of trends and developments in grant funding, partnerships, and international linkages relevant to the organization's focus areas, and incorporate best practices into grant-seeking efforts.
    • Represent the organization in meetings, conferences, and networking events with donors, partners, and other stakeholders to promote the organization's mission and build strategic relationships.
    • Facilitate the establishment of international linkages and collaborations with organizations, institutions, and experts in relevant fields to enhance the organization's global impact and visibility.
    • Prepare reports, presentations, and other communications materials related to grant activities, partnerships, and international linkages for internal and external stakeholders.

     Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., international development, business administration, social sciences). Master's degree preferred.
    • Proven experience in grant writing, fundraising, and project management, preferably in the nonprofit sector or international development context.
    • Strong understanding of donor requirements, grant compliance, and reporting procedures.
    • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts in writing and verbally.
    • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including donors, partners, and government agencies.
    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement innovative approaches to grant-seeking and partnership development.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
